This Privacy Policy explains how PLATINUM POSITIONING, a Pennsylvania partnership ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit ownyourdms.com, join the Own Your DMs waitlist, buy Own Your DMs or use Own Your DMs Hosting (together, the "Site" and "Services").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your first name and email address when you join the waitlist
- Your name, email address and billing details when you buy. Payments are processed by our checkout and payment providers. We don't store your full card number.
- If you buy hosting: the domain or subdomain you want it on, and the details you send us so we can set it up
- Anything you send us when you contact us

- IP address, browser type and device information
- Pages you visit and videos you watch
- The link or ad that brought you here
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 3
2. How we use it
- To add you to the waitlist and send you launch emails, including the early-access link
- To deliver what you bought, including the members area, downloads and update packs
- To set up and run your hosting account, if you bought hosting
- To answer your questions
- To measure and improve the Site and our ads
- To meet legal and tax obligations
We don't sell your personal information.
3. Cookies, pixels and ads
We may use cookies and tools such as the Meta Pixel to see how people use the Site, learn which ads work and show our ads to people who have visited. These tools can collect the pages you view and the actions you take and share them with the company that runs them, which handles that information under its own privacy policy.
You can limit this by changing your browser's cookie settings, managing Meta ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences, or using the opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info. Blocking cookies may limit how parts of the Site work.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run the business: email delivery (AWeber), checkout and members area (Kartra), payment processing, and video hosting (Wistia)
- Advertising platforms such as Meta, as described in Section 3
- Authorities, when the law requires it
- A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or merged
5. The Own Your DMs software and your followers' data
If you run Own Your DMs on your own hosting, the data it handles (comments, DMs, Instagram usernames, emails your followers give you and activity records) is stored in your own database on your own server. We don't receive it and can't see it. You're responsible for that data and for your own privacy policy toward your followers.
Update check. Your dashboard checks a small public file on our server about once a day to see whether a newer version is out. It doesn't send us your followers' data, your settings or your account details. Like any web request, our server logs basic request information such as the IP address that made it.
If you use Own Your DMs Hosting, your install and its data sit on a server we run. We access your account only to set it up, keep the server running, back it up, fix problems you report or meet a legal requirement. We don't use your followers' data for our own marketing and don't share it, except as described in this policy.
6. Emails
When you join the waitlist, you agree to get emails from us about Own Your DMs, including the launch and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. If you buy, we may still send emails you need for your purchase, such as access details and update notices.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy or as the law requires. If you cancel hosting, your hosting account and its data are deleted after the account closes. Keep your own copies of anything you want to keep.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can't promise absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and opt out of marketing. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
10. Children
The Site and Services are not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.
11. Other sites
The Site links to services run by other companies, including Instagram, Meta, Kartra and AWeber. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new date. Using the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, under its applicable rules.
